Core values

Dear diary,

As I grow in my current profession, it made me reflect on my core values.

I have decided that my top 3 core values would be:
1. Family
2. Personal growth
3. Health

Now that I have identified my 3 core values, I would have to think specific behaviors that matches my core values.

That being said, it resonates with me when I don't get the expected response from my dear ones.

To be honest, it's dissapointing to see how one can bother to reply outsiders than own blood. It made me feel pointless of putting in effort and reason given was preference on communication mode.

I have a hard time accepting that reason because it isn't congruent to what was mentioned. So, if really that's the preferred mode of communication, then why the behaviors of responding towards others promptly via texts as compared to own blood?

It made me wonder then, why bother. At the same time I wouldn't want to feel resentful towards them, particularly her, because I'm indebted to her.

I can only pray from afar and do bare minimum because I don't feel the efforts reciprocate.

As for my partner, I would always want to spend weekly quality time. Sometimes I appreciate having nights alone mainly so that I can have quiet moments to myself. I realized how important this is to me as a means of self care, especially after a day of engaging with people from all walks of life.

For personal growth, I am constantly exploring to increase my knowledge be it for my profession, my own journey of healing and my spiritual relationship, along with putting my knowledge into practise. This also includes reading a chapter every night.

Health wise, I would always to commit atleast 3x/week to the gym, consciously practicing healthy diet and to be more discipline with my bedtime.

I hope I can be more consistent with my behaviors to ensure they align with my core values.

Yours truly,
Saf
