Air traffic control officer test

Lately, i just went for an interview for an air traffic control officer test and i spent about 3 hours doing the test. I wouldn't put so much hopes for the outcome of it but i have to say i find it hard to get more information on how the test will be like before i actually went for the test itself.

I did some research and found out some relevant stuffs but there's hardly a demo or a mock test that i could find via online.

And so, i would like to share some questions of the test to help those who are interested or who are planning to go for the test. There were a few test within that 3 hours and each test has its time limits. I wouldnt say it's very tough. Its tedious, i guess i could do it if not for the time limit.

Some of the test consist of number patters e.g.

what's the next number of the pattern below;

9, 24, 39, 54, 69, ____
3, 8, 15, 24, 35, ____
5, 20, 16, 64, 60, ____
120, 60, 64, 32, 36, ____
2, 10, 40, 120, 240, ____
5, 3, 12, 10, 40, ____
3, 13, 4, 14, 5, 17, 6, ____

Apart from number patterns, there's also test on things such as;
- calculate the number of days a week and months a year.

There's also questions such as there will be a set of few words, you are suppose to sum up the letters of the shortest word and the letters of the longest word.

And some questions on longtitude and latitude..where you have to calculate the distance of the plane from one point to the other.

Overall, i would say the test really use alot of mind power and some of the questions are really tricky, you have to read a few times to understand what it is trying to ask you.

But it was definitely as interesting test to try out.
All the best to those who are sitting for it. ;)

Yours truly,
saf
