Virgin trip to wavehouse

Greetings to all.

Yesterday was a memorable day for me. It's a day i tried something new for the first time. Hehe. I tried going wavehouse and did the flow rider for an hour. Coincidently, they have 1 to 1 hour package, so it's only $35 for both of us.

While waiting for our turn, we sat by the beach, talked about lives etc. When our time came, we changed and got ourselves ready for it.

It looks tough but i didnt expect it to be tougher in action. I thought it has the similar concept as skate boarding, as it is about balancing. I thought i'd be able to get it right by the end of that 1 hr as im able to skateboard.

Guess, i was wrong. So, it goes like this, there were 9 person in queue within that 1 hr. So, we have to try surfing one at a time, turn by turn.

Personally, i feel it's not worth it. 9 person is abit too many people per session. For the ones that are able to get it right, it benefits them as they're able to stay longer surfing but for the ones who've yet to get it, they'll fall, then its the next person turn. I thought it should atleast have about 3-5 pax per session as such, the waiting time and frequency of us surfing would be shorter and more.

Overall, i still enjoyed myself, i've yet to master or stay long on it. The 'best' thing was, about few minutes coming to the end, another instructor took over and patiently teach us the right way of posture and balancing techniques as well as which leg to put where. It seems that our position was wrong, which was taught by the previous instructor. -,-

At that point, we felt dissapointed. How i wish i could get that instructor from the start of the session. Plus, he's so much positive and supportive as compared to the previous instructor. Haishh.

I wouldnt mind going back there to try again but first, i've to see who's the instructor during the session, to make my money worth.

Yours truly,
Saf.
